Hydrologic Measurement and Modeling

Advance modeling of multi-scale hydrologic processes to improve Earth System models and improve understanding of climate impacts on water resources

It is important to advance modeling of multi-scale hydrologic processes in order to improve Earth System models and improve understanding of climate impacts on water resources. These efforts require improving estimates of gridded meteorological forcing data for hydrologic models, improving model representation of hydrologic processes, and improving estimates of model parameters. We are enabling these efforts through developing new modeling tools and integrating different datasets to provide process-based benchmarks of model performance.
